Meiomi Red Blend with Chili Beef Lettuce Wrap
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp minced ginger
  • 200g lean minced beef
  • 200g minced pork
  • 1 red chili, seeds removed and diced
  • 4 green onions, sliced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • handful fresh basil 

Dressing (Optional)

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • Juice of ½ lime
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • ½ red chili, thinly sliced
  • Small bunch of scallions, chopped
  • 1 tsp light brown sugar


  1. Heat a large frying pan and add a little oil. Mix the minced beef and pork together. Season with salt and pepper and mix well. Fry the mince in the hot pan with the garlic and ginger for 5 minutes. 
  2. Add chili, green onions, soy sauce, honey, vinegar and salt. Cook another 3-4 minutes until the beef starts to darken and crisp. Taste and season with salt and pepper if needed.
  3. Mix all the dressing ingredients together and adjust to taste.
  4. To serve, spoon some of the mince mixture into the lettuce leaves, drizzle with a little dressing and serve.
